The Welcome Home Project Colorado is a non-profit organization that assists individuals and families by providing basic household essentials during their transition from homelessness to permanent housing. A roof over one's head is a necessity, but making a house a home by providing mattresses, bedding, basic kitchenware and bathroom essentials relieves anxieties and ensures a successful transition with long-term success.
I finally believe that if you do good things good things come back to you!!! Dee S.

OUR MISSION
SUPPORTING OUR DENVER COMMUNITY
The Welcome Home Project Colorado works in cooperation with local social work agencies in the Denver-metro area. As social workers secure permanent housing for individuals and families, they reach out to WHPC for assistance with basic necessities. Many individuals and families, either moving from a shelter, their car or the streets, often lack many essentials necessary for a successful start in their new home. WHPC meets families on move-in days with a personalized Welcome Home Basket.
By relieving struggling families of the additional financial stress of acquiring the basic goods that many of us take for granted when settling into the safety of a new home, we further ensure that vulnerable families remain permanently housed, reducing the chances of a return to homelessness.
I'm so happy you are doing this work. It is SO needed and not a lot of people recognize this need as being so crucial to the process of moving someone out of homelessness.
